Untrieds Day 30 - Color Club Hot Like Lava

Today is my last post for this challenge. It has been so much fun! I loved being encourage to break out my untouched polishes. I buy polish much faster than I use it.

Can you tell yet that I love pink? :) For my last post of the challenge, I am wearing Color Club Hot Like Lava. Amazing application and only needed one coat. I have to say, I love Color Club! I have not had a bad experience with their polishes at all. Nothing but good things to say.

Have you enjoyed seeing me tackle my untrieds? :)

Untrieds Day 29 - Essence Hello Holo

As if Color Club glitters were not already crammed with glitter, I added more! :)

I topped Color Club Candy Cane with Essence Hello Holo. Candy Cane does not have any holo glitter in it, so I think this adds some nice flair. The top two pictures are with no flash in artificial light, with the second picture blurred slightly to show the holo. The last picture is with a flash in artificial light. You can see many different colors Hello Holo possesses.

Untrieds Day 28 - Color Club Candy Cane

The end of the challenge is nearing. I've enjoyed being encouraged to wear my untried polishes, rather than go back to familiar ones again and again.

Today, I'm wearing Color Club Candy Cane from their Beyond the Mistletoe Collection. Candy Cane is full of different color pink glitters and silver. This is three coats, for it to be opaque. I absolutely love this polish! I'm a big fan of pink.

Untrieds Day 27 - Sally Hansen Cherry Bomb

More Christmas is coming your way with green and red. :) The idea was to layer red crackle over my existing mani of Color Club Holiday Splendor.

Cherry Bomb has the consistency of a jelly, so it did not hold its color over another color. Which is disappointing, especially since a crackle is meant to wear over other polishes. I really wish this polish was more of a creme and held its color.

Untrieds Day 26 - Color Club Holiday Splendor

This is my first Christmas polish of the season! :)

Oh my goodness, I love this polish! I am not usually a big fan of green, but this one is wonderful. A very pigmented green base with tons of green and holo glitter. The application was the best of all the Color Club glitter polishes (and Funky Fingers, considering they are same formula) that I have tried. This is just one coat. The others I have tried needed at least three coats to be opaque.

Untrieds Day 25 - Color Club Perfect Mol-ten

Christmas and Winter are coming so be prepared for an overflow of themed manis. Snow, Christmas, penguins, and candy canes galore!

Perfect Mol-ten from the Color Club Foiled Collection is a beautiful green with a lovely foil finish. I love this much more on my nails than I do in the bottle. The application was wonderful and became opaque in just one coat.

Untrieds Day 24 - Sinful Colors Sugar Sugar

Thanksgiving sort of marks the last day before the Christmas season and Winter arrive, so I wanted to do one last Autumn themed mani.

I think these leaves are super cute for Autumn. I stamped them on using plate BM19 and Sinful Colors Sugar Sugar. This is over my existing mani of Wet n Wild The Gold and the Beautiful. Sugar Sugar is a shimmering red polish and was very simple to stamp with. I wanted more sparkle, so brushed on a thin layer of The Gold and the Beautiful after I finished my stamping.

I'm still learning to accurately stamp, as you can see some gaps. But practice makes perfect.

Untrieds Day 23 - Wet n Wild The Gold and the Beautiful

Today I have a pretty gold to show you. :)

The Gold and the Beautiful is more of a top coat or layering polish. I layered two coats of it over Love My Nails Innocent Pink (a light cream color). Its a little simple for me, but I plan to stamp over it soon. The application was good. It was even and smooth for a glitter.

Untrieds Day 22 - Funky Fingers Golden Coast

Today I wanted something simple that reminded me of Autumn since Thanksgiving is right around the corner. Brown and gold sounded perfect. So I layered Funky Fingers Golden Coast over Julep Olivia.

Olivia is a nice one coat creme polish, while Golden Coast is a gold glitter polish with holo glitter as well. It has amazing sparkle and is a dream to apply. I only needed one coat of each polish.

Untrieds Day 21 - Color Club Antiquated (with Lace Added)

Today's Monday Nail Art Challenge on PAA is lace. I really wanted to give actually placing thin lace on my nails a try. So I raided my fabric collection and found a pretty forest green lace left over from making bridesmaid dresses last year. I thought gold would be perfect so I picked up one of my Color Club polishes from their Foiled Collection.

After trying this, I have a new appreciation for people who attempt and succeed at manicures with lace fabric. I had some fraying and shifting. The fabric just sort of soaked up the top coat and did not let it dry. This design came right off after I took pictures. I only had to pinch the fabric off.

I think lace overlays are a unique nail design, but either I lacked patience or I missed out on a trick to get this right.

Moving on from the lace and onto the polish, I love Antiquated. Great application with two coats. As the collection name implies, it has a nice foil finish. Its a very lovely subtle gold polish.

One Month of Polish Shopping

I have not posted any of my polish buys in a month. And a lot has accumulated. Too much to do up close shots, without there being dozens of pictures. So I just did a few basic group shots. If anyone wants to see a better bottle shot of anything, let me know. :)

Wet n Wild Lust, Nocturnal, Glitz, Morbid, Rustic, Lust, Poshe Nail Strengthening Base Coat, Super Fast Drying Top Coat, Orly Androgynie, American Classics Gelous, OPI Give Me a Coral Sometime, Mermaid Tears, Rainbow Connection, L.A. Colors Art Deco Ice Breaker, Ulta Material Girl, Barielle Grape Escape, Zoya Charla, Ashley, Unforgettable Moments Sparkling Turquoise, Brash Sergeant Khaki, Totally Teal, Essie Turquoise & Caicos, Miami Nice, Color Club Orna-minted and Cosmetic Arts Covered in Diamonds. I purchased all of these myself except for the Essie polishes. They came from a swap with Ju from Lacquered Me.

I won these polishes Shadow's Nail Art 1 Year Blog Anniversary Giveaway. Beauty UK Sage Green, Black, Gunmetal, Electric Purple, Electric Blue, and Voodoo all from their Midnight Minx set, along with Pure Ice Crackle Catwalk and Shattered.

I got Color Club Beyond the Mistletoe and Foiled Collection sets from Ross. Not including the top coats, they come with: Sugarplum Fairy, Beyond the Mistletoe, Holiday Splendor, Jingle Jangle, Candy Cane, Gingerbread, Perfectly Mol-ten, Antiquated, Cold Metal, Hot Like Lava, Foil Me Once, and Lumin-icecent.

I grabbed all these from the clearance bin at Walmart. They are all Love My Nails. If you want specific names, let me know.

Abby, an awesome woman I know from PAA, was nice enough to get some Funky Fingers for me. Teal Scales, Burgandy Scales, Golden Coast, Power Chord, Monster Ballad, Cayman Island, Stage Dive, and Zeppelin.

All of these are from Amy's blog sale on I'm Feeling Nail-venturous. I originally only bought two, but she was looking for someone to hopefully purchase the rest of her listing in bulk. Since we live in the same city, I made her an offer and picked these lovely polishes up from here. These will make my first polishes from Sephora, Kleancolor, Konad, Nfu-Oh, Scherer, L.A. Girl, and Jesse's Girl. There are just too many to name, but if anyone is curious about any of them, I will post names. :)

Its a ton of polish, I know. But I'm a very savvy shopper, so I promise I did not spend as much as it seems.
