Ulta Hide & Go Sequins

I hope you are enjoying your Wednesday!

Ulta Hide & Go Sequins is a dark blue blue filled with light blue (almost silver) and vibrant green medium hex glitter along with small blue hex glitter. This polish is a close dupe for the very popular Deborah Lippmann Across the Universe. I do not own AU, but the only difference looks to be that it contains more medium hex glitter than the Ulta version.

The price also differs greatly. Deborah Lippmann retails for $18, while the Ulta is on sale right now for $1 with their 5 for $5 deal. Sadly, Hide & Go Sequins is not available year round. So grab it while you can.

Giveaway Prize from Ulta & Essence

I hope you are enjoying your Tuesday! Two weeks ago, Ulta had a giveaway on Twitter featuring products from Essence's Breaking Dawn Part 2 Collection along with a shirt and bag. I was lucky enough to win. If you know how much I love Essence products and like Twilight, you can imagine my excitement. I received my prize in the mail today. I could not be happier with what I received (except to maybe have gotten an appropriately sized shirt).

The shirt and bag match, except for the back. The back of the shirt says "Every moment has let to this." The bag is nicer than I expected. A heavy weight canvas tote.

Edward's Love and Alice Had a Vision - Again. Both gorgeous! I already own both. I bought all four of the polishes when I saw the display. I have not tried Alice Had a Vision - Again yet.

Loose eye shadow pigments in A Piece of Forever, Alice Had a Vision - Again, Edward's Love, and Jacob's Protection. They mirror the names and colors of the polish. I cannot wait to try them, especially the gold. I love gold shadows!

Shimmer powder in Bella's Secret and blush in Renesmee Red. The shimmer powder looks very promising. I have heard the blush is gorgeous for Fall and Winter. I do not wear blush; I have a natural flush to my face. But I shall give Renesmee Red a try.

Two lipglosses in Renesmee Red and Alice Had a Vision - Again. The former looks close to my favorite colored lipgloss, Essence Kiss Kiss Kiss. It is my favorite red and the only one I've found that suits my complexion. Renesmee Red seems to be more sheer and has sparkle. Along with the lipglosses, there is one lipstick in A Piece of Forever. A gold lipstick. I am unsure about gold, but depending on the coverage, it has the potential to be gorgeous. Finally, a glitter eyeliner in Jacob's Protection. I have not tried liquid glitter eyeliner before. I am rather excited about wearing it. I shied away from blue shadows for years because it was once said that blue eyes and blue shadow do not go together. I've recently embraced trying blue shades and love them!

I received twelve of the fifteen products from the collection. The others are two polishes (A Piece of Forever and Jacob's Protection) and a glitter eyeliner (Alice Had a Vision - Again). The collection can be found in the US at Ulta stores. I am unsure what stores in other countries carry the collection.

Ninja Polish NVL Floam

I hope you are enjoying your Monday! I recently came across a lovely lady on PAA selling some of her polishes. Included was Floam. Needless to say, I was quite happy to be able to get it. It is my first indie polish.

Ninja Polish NVL Floam is a clear base filled with neon matte blue and yellow-green glitter. Unlike most glitter, it is matte and gives off to sparkle or shine. That's what I love about it! It is so much fun! The application is good. I was a little hesitate to wear it alone to begin with, so I layered. Two coats over Pure Ice Wild Thing. I have seen some people get Floam opaque by itself in two to three coats. I plan to wear it on its own soon.

The wear of this polish was very good, especially for a glitter. I wore it for three days with no tip wear or chips. For me, that is miraculous. It even survived me doing truck today. Which normally mangles my polish. The removal was no harder than any other glitter.

Floam was originally created by Amy of I'm Feeling Nail-Venturous. It is now sold on Ninja Polish, in their bottles. So if you are looking for this polish, there are two different bottle styles.

Floam is currently in stock (if you see it out of stock, do not worry, it will come back in) at Ninja Polish for $9.

Essence Gorgeous Bling Bling

I hope you are enjoying your Saturday!

Essence Gorgeous Bling Bling is a burnt orange jelly like creme with gold flakes. Ridiculous name, but absolutely gorgeous. The formula is perfection and goes on completely smooth. Opaque in two coats. The flakes distribute evenly and each coat is just sheer enough for the flakes from the underlying coat to be seen, giving the polish depth.

The Essence Colour & Go line is available at Ulta for $2.

Happy Thanksgiving with Milani Signature Gold

I hope you are enjoying your Thursday! And Thanksgiving, if you celebrate the holiday. I've had a nice and slightly hectic day. It involved cooking, painting nails, and family. This morning in between cooking dishes, I took off my leopard mani and debated over what to put on next. I wanted something appropriate for the holiday today, but also nice for tomorrow. I finally decided on gold. Perfect for Fall, Thanksgiving, and for Black Friday. I will not be shopping tomorrow, but rather working. I got the opening shift, so I will be at work before midnight. Wish me luck!

Milani Signature Gold is a metallic copper gold. The formula is perfection with an easy application. Opaque in one coat, but I used two for good measure.

Autumn Leopard

I hope you are enjoying your Wednesday! Thanksgiving is almost here! For those who celebrate, I hope you have a wonderful day. Hopefully it will involve the people that you love and yummy food.

Today I have a fun nail art design to share with you. Leopard print!

I have honestly never been a big fan of leopard print. But I kept seeing so many pretty nail designs involving the print, so I finally decided to give it a try. This design could not have been easier to create. So simple! I'm still on the fence as to whether I love it yet or not, but it is growing on me.

Since we are well into Autumn, I decided to use colors fitting the season. Essie Head Mistress, Finger Paints Figure of Art, and Love My Nails Black Rage. I'm rather found of the colors; I just wish red didn't turn my skin pink during cleanup.

Head Mistress is part of the Essie Stylenomics Collection and retails for $8. Finger Paints retail for $5.29 at Sally Beauty Supply. Love My Nails retails for $1 at Bari Cosmetics.

Pure Ice Iced Merlot

I hope you are enjoying your Monday! I know my posts this month have been a little sporadic. Its the time of year for colds and the holidays. Things have been a little hectic. Things should level out soon. And I'm going to do a few nail art designs soon. Expect plenty of nail art for December between Christmas and New Years.

Pure Ice Iced Merlot is a raspberry wine with pink and silver shimmer. The application is great and opaque in two coats. Its a gorgeous polish, but honestly based on the color in the bottle I was expecting a deep red foil or metallic.

Pure Ice retails for $2 at Walmart and Bari Cosmetics.

Essie Stylenomics and As Gold As It Gets

I hope you are enjoying your Saturday! Or enjoyed it considering its almost over. Today I have a pretty Essie combination to show you.

Essie Stylenomics is a very dark green creme. Depending on the lighting, it looks black, it is that dark. The formula is smooth and glossy. Opaque in one coat. No top coat in the pictures.

Essie As Gold As It Gets has gold flakes in a clear base. The flakes vary in size. Some of the flakes flash red, green, and bronze depending on light and angle. The application is perfection. The flakes lay completely flat to the nail. One coat gave the coverage you see in my photos.

Essie retails for $8 at Rite-aid, Walgreens, CVS, Target, and Ulta. Stylenomics is part of the Stylenomics Collection (still available in store). As Gold As It Gets is part of the Luxeffects Collection, most of which (including this one) have been made part of the core line.

Follower Appreciation Giveaway

I have been meaning to do a giveaway since August when I passed my first blogiversary. It has taken me awhile to decide on a prize that I thought people would enjoy.

One winner will receive Barielle Lily of the Valley, End of the Rainbow, Nail Strengthener Cream, Nail Rebuilding Protein, and Ultra Speed Dry Manicure Extender! Open only to US residents. Sorry. International shipping is a tad outrageous. My giveaway goes live today and runs through November 30.

All of these items are brand new, and I hope you will love them as much as I do. I personally own each of these. I use the nail strengthener cream everyday, its amazing.

I received these items from Barielle with the option of keeping them or hosting a giveaway. I chose to share the love and use these for my giveaway.

Essence Edward's Love

I hope you are enjoying your Wednesday! I have a pretty polish to show you that I picked up last week.

Essence Edward's Love is a black jelly filled with small silver glitter flakes and a sparse shattering of holo glitter. I'm still debating whether its holo or iridescent. Its hard to tell. The application was not up to par with the rest of my polishes. I blame the insane amount of flakes. Though it was not bad. It took two coats to be opaque and cleaned up very well for a black polish with glitter.

The Essence Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn Part 2 Collection is limited edition. They finally hit the US recently. I purchased mine last Friday at Ulta. There is a variety of makeup, including four polishes. I purchased all four at $1.99 each.

Birthday Club

I joined the Lacquered Me Birthday Club a little over one year ago. There are so many birthday clubs now, so if the idea interests you, it will not be hard to find one or you could start one yourself. Basically twelve ladies (or gentlemen) get together, one for each month of the year. Ideally, you get the month of your birth. Each month, every member sends out a gift to the person who has that month. Meaning when your month rolls around, you get eleven presents in the mail.

My birthday was in August. It has taken awhile for the last of my gifts to get here because of personal reasons with some of the girls in the birthday club. But the goodies were worth the wait.

I rarely post haul pictures anymore, but I wanted to share the lovely gifts I received. It was a lot of fun putting together gifts each month and it was fun receiving them as well.

My gift from Bee! Zoya Midori and Tallulah. Plus yummy candies, some samples to try, bubble bath, and a card.

My awesome gift from Kristal! L'Oreal Owl's Night, Sally Hansen Diamond, Sinful Colors Fiji, Sugar Sugar, and Purple Diamond. Along with Avon Moisture Therapy, Salon Effects Teal With It, Burt's Bees Mango Butter lip balm, a cute bird nail file, and a card.

My great gift from Erika! ICING After Party, Pre-game, and Zoya Tallulah. Plus OPI ginger lily lotion, gummies, a candy bar, a postcard, streamers, and balloons.

My adorable gift from Jodi! OPI Shatter the Scales, Essie Head Mistress, OPI Suzi & the 7 Dusselldorfs, and Poshe Fast Drying Basecoat. Along with pedi-sox, laffy taffy, and a card.

My pretty gift from Sarah! China Glaze Instant Chemistry, Essence It's Purplicious, Lip Vitamins Banana Split lip balm, an owl mirror, OPI Avojuice Cran & Berry, yummy candy, and a card.

My beautiful gift from Ju! Wet n Wild Party of Five Glitters (mini), China Glaze Avalanche, Trind CC106, Milani Signature Gold, mascara, cute lipgloss, blush, samples, and an adorable handmade card.

My lovely present from Arielle! Three H&M polishes (red, black, purple), Pumpkin Glow in the Dark Orange, Orly Elsbeth's Rose, a manicure set stored in a flip flop, Hello Kitty Halloween stickers, candy, a card, and cute little bands around each polish (that glow in the dark).

My cute gift from Andrea! Cutie Girl polish, Sally Hansen Lustrous, L.A. Colors Sassy Sparkle, lip balm, two eye shadows, mani/pedi kit, postcard, candy, tons of sequins/confetti and a necklace.

My awesome present from Sarah! Kleancolor Holo Pink, Lex Tuilleries, Essence Choose Me!, candy (including the empty M&M bag hiding in the back because I ate them before the picture), striping tape, samples, owl tattoo, owl nail polish ring, felt owl, and a postcard.

My great present from Amber! Sinful Colors Cinderella, Kissy, Dazzle, OPI Avojuice Mango, Julep scrub & lotion, crystal file, cute pen, and oodles of candy.

If you've been counting, that's ten gifts. Earlier, I mentioned getting eleven gifts during your birthday month. Well, one of the ladies in our group has not been heard from in months. Ninon from I Drink Nail Polish. She hasn't been on her blog, twitter, facebook, pinterest, or anything since February. Ju even tried sending her a card in the mail and never heard anything back. We're all worried about her. If anyone has heard from her, please let me know.
