Maybelline Magenta Mirage over Essence Grey-t To Be Here

I hope you are enjoying your Sunday! I have a nice combination to show you today. Hopefully you are not over crackle.

Maybelline Magenta Mirage is a bright magenta shimmer crackle with a bit of a blue flash. The crackle effect is not very strong. I tried thick and thin coats. It still is a pretty polish though. I layered it over Essence Grey-t To Be Here, light gray creme with pink shimmer that shifts to rose gold at the right angle.

Maybelline Twilight Rays

I hope you are enjoying your Thursday! I have a pretty polish to show you today.

Maybelline recently came out with forty new polish shades in their Color Show line. Twilight Rays is a black creme with small gold glitter flakes. When I purchased it, I thought it was micro glitter. Imagine my excitement to see that they were tiny flakies. Its a gorgeous polish, opaque in two easy coats.

This polish was insanely hard to photograph. Over for forty pictures in effort to capture its beauty.

Maybelline Color Show retail for $3 at Walmart. I am sure other stores carry them, but I have not seen them.

Mummy Nails

This design is a bit of nail fail but its still worth sharing, I think. Maybe someone will be inspired to do it better. I followed this tutorial online. Hers are cute!

As I'm sure everyone has figured out by now, I'm a big fan of accent nails. You can see it smudged a little. I apparently didn't wait long enough for the eyes to dry before adding my top coat. For this I used Maybelline Show Me the Honey, Sinful Colors Snow Me White and Black on Black. I love Show Me the Honey. Its a pretty muted gold. I'm not sure you can find it in stores, but I've seen bottles floating around Ebay. Mine is several years old. I had to use some thinner on it before even painting my nails.

I wish this would have turned out cuter for Halloween nails, but at least I rediscovered how much I love this gold polish.
