Julep Molly

I hope you're enjoying your Friday! Sorry that I've been gone. Its been a hectic month. But I'm back with a classic color to show you.

You cannot go wrong with a gorgeous red. Julep Molly is classic red creme. Everyone needs a classic red. The application is great and opaque in two coats.

Julep retails for $14 on their website.

Sorry for My Absence

I have not posted in almost two weeks. There has been so much going on in my life and I just have not had time to blog. I went on a wonderful mini vacation to Chicago to meet some friends and go to my first Comic Con. I scheduled posts for that weekend. Then my mom went in the hospital. That was a stressful experience. She's doing alright for anyone wondering. On top of all that, more family issues arose. Its just been a tad hectic.

I will have a polish post up tonight and I hope to be back to regular posting.

Also, I still plan on having a giveaway in relation to my blogiversary (which was a couple of weeks ago). I just have not had time to get everything together for that yet.

Ulta Diva

I hope you are enjoying your Sunday!

Ulta Diva is a sheer pink tinted jelly filled with iridescent glitter. It was the perfect compliment to Essence Sweet as Candy. This is two coats of each, plus top coat. The application is great, especially for a glitter filled jelly.

One Year Blogiversary

Today is my one year blogiversary! I cannot believe I have been doing this blog for one whole year. I have met some amazing people through doing this. And learned so much. I'm happy for every moment of it.

To all of my readers, I want to say thank you! Some have been here since day one and others came later, but you've all stuck with me this long, and I greatly appreciate that.

I want to do a small giveaway as a thank you for inspiring me to keep this blog going. I will get it all set up and it will go live later in the week.

Again, THANK YOU!! :)

Essence Sweet as Candy

I hope you are enjoying your Friday! Essence is redoing their Colour & Go line. New bottle shape and bigger bottles. I will have a post about them soon.

I was able to purchase two of the line. Neither are exactly new, but I did not own them already. Essence Sweet as Candy is a sheer baby pink jelly. The application is great. It is rather sheer as you would expect from a jelly. It gives a soft feminine look. This is two coats.

The new bottles should be available soon at Ulta.

Creatively Using Crackle

I hope you are enjoying your Thursday! Today I have a manicure to show you that happened as a sort of accident.

I wanted to prolong my time between polish changes, so I decided to add a pretty crackle over my existing polish, Cosmetic Arts In Bloom. So I dug out Funky Fingers Teal Scales. However, it did not crack on the first finger. So I scratched at it. Odd thing to do, but it gave an interesting effect. Not exactly cracks, but more like odd shaped holes. Kind of reminds me of bleach splattered jeans.

Cosmetic Arts In Bloom

I hope you are enjoying your Monday!

Cosmetic Arts In Bloom is a very light lilac creme. The application is good and surprisingly opaque in two coats. It was about time I wore this on its own. I have worn it before with a glitter gradient on the tips.

Cosmetic Arts retails for $2 at Ross (I am unsure what other stores stock this brand).

OPI Mad as a Hatter

I hope you are enjoying your Saturday! Today I have a gorgeous HTF polish to show you. I've had it for months and only worn it once before. The camera did not like it back then, so it never made it to my blog.

OPI Mad as a Hatter is a clear base with small round micro glitter. It has a variety of colors. Silver, purple, green, blue, gold, red, and probably a few others as well. It is very opaque on its own, but I still used Wet n Wild Silvivor as a base to fill in any empty spaces. I absolutely love this polish. And the wear is amazing. It did not chip at all during three days I wore it. Barely any tip wear as well. I did one coat of Silvivor, two coats of Mad as a Hatter then two coats of top coat to even things out.

MAAH has become quite the hard to find polish. If you do stumble across it, the price tag is usually high.

Mattified Flakies

I hope you are having a great Thursday! I'm quite behind on getting posts up. Things have been hectic. I'm trying to prepare for a trip next week. I had planned to post about this particular manicure Tuesday, but time got away from me.

I love mattified flakies! I started with two coats of Milani Fresh Teal, a teal blue neon. Then I added one coat of Finger Paints Asylum, a clear base with glitter flakes that shift red, blue, orange, yellow, green and purple. A final coat of Hard Candy Matte-ly in Love gave the flakies a fun finish.

Milani retails for $3-5 at various stores (a list can be found on their website) and sites.
Asylum is part of the Finger Paints Special Effects Collection. The collection has been discontinued and while bottles can be found online, the prices are generally marked up quite high sadly. Hard Candy retails for $4 at Walmart.
