A Glowing Pumpkin Tangled in My Web

I hope you are enjoying your Thursday! I have an awesome combination to show you today. Plus, I finally found a setting on my camera that allows me to capture the light from glow in the dark polish. YAY! In case you are having trouble with your camera, I managed to do it with the setting for candlelight.

Check out how bright the polish is in the dark. Very noticeable! For this glowing combination, I started with a coat of white polish (Pure Ice Super Star!). I tried the polish on its own earlier in the month. Incredibly sheer. I took pictures, but didn't want to post them. I wanted to try layering it over a creme. The picture below is five to six coats and you can still see visible nail line.

I love the jelly finish it has when used alone, but it was way too sheer. Not to mention too thick after six coats. I want to experiment with different colors and see if I can find something that lets it keep the jelly appearance, but be opaque.

Back to my layering combo... I started with white then painted on two coats of Pumpkin Polish Orange. I topped it off with a layer of Wet n Wild Tangled in My Web. All of the polishes have great application, other than the sheerness of the pumpkin polish.

Pumpkin polishes can be found only at Rite-aid during this time of year. Tangled in My Web is from last fall's Wet n Wild On the Prowl Collection. There should be a few bottles to be found online.

Wet n Wild Correction Tape

The weekend is almost over. I hope everyone has enjoyed theirs!

After looking at my failed magnetic polish attempt for awhile, I decided to give it some new life with glitter.

Excuse the tip wear, I added glitter the following day after my Essence Magic Wand! fail. I love Wet n Wild Correction Tape! Its so much fun! Magenta, blue, gold, and black combining both square and hex shaped glitter. The glitter spaced out quiet nicely in just one coat.

Correction Tape is part of the Wet n Wild On the Prowl Collection. Its no longer available in stores (that I know of), but I have seen it for sale online. So if you want it, there is still hope. :) [Edited to add] Thanks to a lovely follower, AffordableBeauty, who commented on this post, I was informed that Spoiled by Wet n Wild Trust Fund Baby is an exact dupe for Correction Tape. It retails for $2 at CVS, in store and online.

Cookies & Cream

Hello everyone! Sorry I've been away from my blog for the past few days. December is a hectic holiday month and I've gotten myself swept up in the craziness.

Today I have a simple cute mani to show you all, inspired by my favorite candy bar. This weeks Monday Nail Art Challenge on PAA is Candy Coma. The holiday season usually comes with tons of candy. I already did a candy cane design this month, so I wanted to do something different. Cookies & Cream candy bars came to mind.

I used two coats of Essie Bone Chilling. Its the perfect off white for white chocolate. The application was good, above average for a white polish. For the cookie chunks, I wanted small and large black glitter. Love & Beauty Black Knight has both, but the small glitter is too dense. So I lightly brushed on Black Knight to get the amount of small glitter I wanted. Then I layered one coat of Wet n Wild Tangled in my Web on top.

I did this manicure yesterday and used Seche Rebuild for the first time. My nails have been peeling and breaking more than normal. My work is hard on my nails; it dries them out. So does the winter weather. I've seen rave reviews about Rebuild so I decided to give it a try. I will let you all know how it goes in case anyone is thinking of trying it out.
