Born Pretty Mixed Metal Nail Art Roll Foils Review

I hope you are enjoying your Wednesday! Today I some fun and easy nail art to share with you. Nail Art Roll Foils Glitter Transfer. Gorgeous colors splashed along your nails without the work and cleanup of regular splatters.

Applying these could not be easier. Simply paint your nails with two coats of color. I chose Finger Paints Where Art Renoir?. Dark colors are best. When its almost dry, press a piece of the foil onto the nail shiny side up, rubbing it onto your nail. When you pick it up, some of the foil design should be left on your nails. You can use several different foils on each nail to cover as little or as much as you want. Make sure to topcoat once you are done.

I used two different foils on my nails, both from Born Pretty Store. Numbers 3 and 7 to be specific. A sapphire metallic blue and pink holographic. The colors just pop! And you definitely get your money's worth. This isn't something you use for a couple of manicures, and then its all used up. No, these nail foils can be used for multiple manicures. Each foil comes in a roll that is one inch wide and nearly four feet long. I could not believe how long they were!

These are definitely a must own. Just make sure your polish is nearly dry when you apply the foils. If its too wet, the polish will be pulled up when you remove the foil. Not a good thing to experience, trust me.

The foils come in twenty-seven different colors. The bows (Item ID: 5361) retail for $2.38 on Born Pretty Store. They have a ton of other fun nail art related items as well. Shipping is always free worldwide. You can also use my coupon code AHL91 to save 10% on your order.

Disclosure: The product (bows) in this post were provided to me for consideration. All opinions are mine and honest.

SoFlaJo Champagne Cocktail

I hope you are enjoying your Thursday! Today I have a gorgeous indie polish to show you.

SoFlaJo Champagne Cocktail is a silver holo with scattered holo glitter. The holo effect is much stronger than it appears in my pictures. It was cloudy the entire time I wore it, and indoor pictures obviously did not do it justice. I love the addition of holo glitter! It adds a little something extra to make this polish unique. Champagne Cocktail can be alone as I did, or used as a layering top coat. It took three coats to be opaque and has a wonderful application.

"This Is Halloween" Challenge: Bats

I hope you are enjoying your Friday! Another post for the This Is Halloween Nail Art Challenge is here. Today is bats.

I took inspiration from a gorgeous design done by Macabre Manicures. For my gradient background, I started with Sally Hansen Diamond as a base. Then sponged Sinful Colors Midnight Blue heavily on the tips and lighter as I went almost all the way to the cuticle. I love how little bits of the holo show through the blue. Then with Sinful Colors Black on Black, plate BM13, and KKCenterHK plate m80, I stamped on two different bat images.

Butterfly Tattoo

I hope you are enjoying your Friday! I have attempted to use regular temporary tattoos as part of a manicure twice. The first time was a bit of mess. I tried cutting down a large tattoo to fit across all of my fingers. I had trouble lining it up well. It just did not work. I'm happy to say that the second attempt went much better. I used a smaller design and only did an accent finger.

I cut a blue butterfly temporary tattoo in half, one piece for each ring fingernail. I applied it exactly as you would to skin. Press the paper on, tattoo side down. Wet with water and hold for several seconds. It transferred very well. Top coat did not smudge or drag it at all. Removal was also very easy.

I love the look of it. Little bits of sparkle show through the blue. A temporary tattoo makes for a very easy design. Quick and simple.

Sally Hansen Diamond

I hope you are enjoying your Thursday! Today I have a very pretty holographic polish to show you. I have a few silver holos, but this one is different than the rest I own.

Sally Hansen Diamond is part of the Nail Prisms line. It is a gorgeous light silver scattered holo. The application was great. No pulling or bald spots like some experience with holos. It took three thin coats to be completely opaque. The sparkle from this is unbelievable. What appears as slight blurriness on my nails is really just the all the colors and sparkle trying to be captured on camera.

Ulta Envy with Holo Stars

I hope you are enjoying your Thursday! Today, I have a manicure to show you that I did last week.

I love this combination! Ulta Envy is a dark emerald green shimmer. The application is great and opaque in two coats. To top this color off, I placed on Essence Nail Art Tattoos in All About Me. The set comes with holo stars and butterflies. They are super easy to apply and lay completely flat. The holo gives them a 3D effect.

Ulta Nail Lacquer retails for $6 at Ulta.

Rainbow Favorites Day 4 - Green

I hope you're enjoying your Wednesday! I have my fourth day of the rainbow challenge to show you today. It gets harder to pick each day. I have over about forty greens. Hard to pick. I went back and forth between three. Zoya Apple, China Glaze He's Going in Circles, and Color Club Holiday Splendor. I could not resist the holo.

China Glaze He's Going in Circles is a light green linear holo. The application is good, especially for a holo. It took two coats to be opaque.

It retails for $10-20 depending on where you purchase it from. He's Going in Circles is part of the China Glaze Kaleidoscope Collection. Being a silver cap holo is what affects the price.

If you want to see what other polishes the other lovely bloggers are choosing, check them out. :)

Color Club Poptastic and My Franken Shatter Shock

I hope you are enjoying your Saturday! I have a cute manicure to show you that's been sitting on my computer since earlier this month. On PAA, there was a Monday Nail Art Challenge with the theme "Pets". Any manicure was fine as long as you featured your pet (or stuffed animal) in the picture.

I painted all of my nails with two coats of Color Club Poptastic, a bright pink creme. The application is perfect. Then I layered my franken crackle on every other nail. Bridget Benike (a lovely lady I know from PAA) named my franken Shatter Shock. Its a black holo crackle. In the pictures, it appears to be a scattered holo. But in person, its linear; similar to Revvvolution. The last picture was taken with a flash to really show the holo.

As I mentioned before, I did this combination for the Pets theme. So I took a picture with my chihuahua Butterscotch. Not a very good nail shot, but I was more focused on having her stay still. Most of the pictures were blurry because she was moving.

Poptastic is part of the Color Club Poptastic Collection. It retails for $4-8 various places online.

Look by BIPA Metallic Matt

Its the middle of the week! I hope you are enjoying your Wednesday! I have a pretty holo polish to show you today.

I love holo! Look by BIPA Metallic Matt is a gorgeous silver linear holo. It was opaque in two thin coats. The holo effect is hard to capture, but you can see the rainbow of colors. For this polish, a top coat does not dim the holo effect at all. The application was great and very shiny without top coat. Makes me wonder where they got the matt part from.

This polish was a gift, but from what I understand, the Look by BIPA Special Effect polishes are limited edition and retailed for € 1.99. The brand can be found on BIPA. If anyone knows where these are sold and if they are still available, please let me know.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday! I have a very green manicure to share with you today, inspired by the day.

I saw a design similar to this on Chloe's Nails and knew I had to do something like it for St. Patrick's Day. I painted on two coats of China Glaze He's Going in Circles. Then I did freehand french tips with Color Club Holiday Splendor. Its a very holo St. Patrick's Day!

He's Going in Circles is part of the China Glaze Kaleidoscope Collection. It retails for $10-20 various places online. Holiday Splendor is part of the Color Club Beyond the Mistletoe Collection. It retails for $4-8. I purchased mine in a collection set of all six for $8 at Ross.

Catrice Dirty Berry

Happy Valentine's Day!

I hope everyone is enjoying their day! I do not have a traditional pink or red mani to show you for Valentine's Day, but rather a lovely purple polish.

Before topcoat

Blurred slightly to show holo shimmer

With topcoat

I am in love! Dirty Berry is a beautiful dusty purple with scattered holo shimmer. It applied like a dream, absolutely perfect in two coats. Super glossy as well. The first six pictures are without topcoat.

This is the first Catrice polish I've every used, and one of the only two I own. I received both in my Valentine's gift. I could not be happier with my first Catrice experience.

My Yellow Holo Franken

I've been working on some frankens. Some are fails; some are successes. So far this particular one is my favorite.

Artificial Light No Flash

Artificial Light With Flash

The holo effect is not visible on my nails without a flash, but the flash washes my skin out and does not show the polish color accurately.

I do not have a name yet for my yellow holo. I was hoping you could help. Pretty please leave suggestions in the comments or comment on the question on my Facebook page. I'll make a poll of the suggestions so you can all help me name this pretty polish.

Color Club Revvvolution

On with the New Year's inspirations! After wearing Color Club Worth the Risque, I decided I needed to try out the other Color Club polish I bought at the same time, CC Revvvolution.

I love Revvvolution much more than I thought I would. I will admit I had no intention of purchasing it at first. However, swatches online from fellow bloggers pushed me toward purchasing. Apparently, this polish and Worth the Risque are harder to come by, so if anyone is searching for them, I bought mine from this seller on Ebay.

Revvvoltion is a dark charcoal holo, basically black depending on the lighting. I'm just in love with it! The application was smooth and one coat was enough. You cannot beat a one coater with an amazing application. Not to mention the colors. I blurred the last two pictures slightly, so you can see the colors. Amazing! Even if you're not a fan of dark or black polishes, consider giving Revvvolution a chance. I'm definitely not a fan of black polishes, especially with my fair skin, but this one is just wonderful.
